Okay so I’ve posted before that I’ve joined a new clan. Surprise of surprises the guy who leads the clan and the guy who set it all up said he wanted me to start as training officer and match organiser. Now, two weeks after this, the panic has settled down.

I was watching some Jerry Springer last night (hangable offence I know) and it occurred to me the similarity between such shows and the Colosseum of old.

Okay so I was setting up the UK-F Stats site and I got to looking through the themes. Before I’d chosen a 3 column layout so that I had a border to the posts and so I could include all the stuff I wanted to without ending up at a 10 page site. Whilst looking through the skins I found this current one (also by Milo). I figure that with 4 columns I can get everything a little more compact so that people and I don’t have to wear out the scroll wheel on their mouse trying to locate stuff. Read More
Okay so it’s a Star Trek thing “resistance is futile” but it sparked a thought strain in my head which clarified a part of my own philosophy.
If resistance is truly futile then I’d think that most people, once they’d seen the futility, would keel over and just curl up in a ball and cry. The thing is that everything is futile without a value system behind it. Why do we care about careers, clothes, people…anything? Why because our values call for it. There is no real reason for these values, they just are. They represent our resistance in spite of futility. Read More

As many who read this will know I was until recently a member of the 13th Legion.
The 13th Legion clan had started with a few members grouping together to leave the British Bulldogs clan. I do not know the precise reasons for why they left the BB but leave they did with a vision for a new clan.

It often amazes me as to how different most people are in their perceptions to myself. Sure I tend to miss the obvious and generally be unaware of what small detail it is which is altering their view of something but there again what they miss I find equally as important and far more interesting. This has got to be one of the most stupid things to engage in. Paranoia will tell you that people don’t like you anymore almost solely because they perhaps forgot how much sugar you have in your tea, it takes them too long (ie it wasn’t instant) to reply to emails/ messages. Of course you then can get the whole paranoia stacked on paranoia where you can try to validate or disproove your origional paranoia and instead (to protect the origional paranoia) end up becoming your own worst critic and being paranoid about your own capabilities to see whether your paranoid or not.
Paranoia has to be one of the worlds best examples of man screwing itself up and then standing there beside it’s broken life and yelling “SEE!!! I was right!”.
