Some thing is obviously against me doing anything computer wise. I built my shiny system on what was supposed to be a wonderful hard drive system, a brilliantly cool processor (cooled by water cooling and not overclocked no less). I put XP 64 bit on it so the usual detritous didn’t accumulate on it. I treated it to diskeeper (a wonderful program) to keep it in tip top shape, alongside this I was also running pc pitstops program and ntregopt and page defrag. This system should have run for longer than my lifetime according to the specs of the machine. 4 Gb of ram, a 3870X2 graphics card (also water cooled from day 1), quad core processing, XFi sound… the works. And yet it died today and refuses to cooperate on becoming working again. Read More
